Early Life and Background

Troy Fautanu was born on October 11, 2000, in Henderson, Nevada. He attended Liberty High School in Henderson, where he developed his skills as a football player. Fautanu was a three-star prospect coming out of high school and was rated as the 59th offensive tackle in the country. He committed to play college football for the Washington Huskies, where he would further hone his craft.

Path to American Football

Fautanu began his college career in 2019, redshirting his first season and not appearing in any games. In the 2020 season, he played in four games, gradually increasing his involvement in the team. By the 2021 season, Fautanu had started in three of the nine games he played. His breakout season came in 2022, where he started all 13 games and was recognized as the Pac-12 offensive lineman of the week during a game against Michigan State. His performance earned him a second-team All-Pac-12 selection.
