His impressive high school performance led him to commit to play college football at the University of Alabama, choosing the Crimson Tide over other prominent programs such as Louisiana State University and Texas A&M University.

Path to American Football

Shavers began his collegiate career at Alabama, where he played in 28 games after redshirting his freshman year. During his time with the Crimson Tide, he recorded one reception for 20 yards and had a notable play on special teams, recovering a blocked punt for a touchdown against Texas A&M in 2019.
