Path to American Football
Shavers began his collegiate career at Alabama, where he played in 28 games after redshirting his freshman year. During his time with the Crimson Tide, he recorded one reception for 20 yards and had a notable play on special teams, recovering a blocked punt for a touchdown against Texas A&M in 2019. After three seasons at Alabama, he transferred to Mississippi State, where he scored his first career offensive touchdown on a 31-yard pass from quarterback KJ Costello against LSU. In his single season with the Bulldogs, he caught nine passes for 107 yards and one touchdown before transferring again, this time to San Diego State.
