Wilder José Cartagena Mendoza (born 23 September 1994) is a Peruvian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Major League Soccer club Orlando City and the Peru national team. Standing at 1.80 m tall, he is known for his work rate in central midfield, his reading of the game, and his willingness to fill in wherever the team needs cover. Cartagena has represented Peru at youth and senior level and was part of the squad that competed at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

El Carmen was badly affected by an earthquake that destroyed his school, and the damage forced him to relocate to Lima to continue his studies.
