OKC Local Joins Professional Pickleball Team
Jenny Marcos, a resident of Oklahoma City, has been selected to join the 2024 roster of the Indy Drivers, representing Indianapolis in the National Pickleball League (NPL). Pickleball, a popular sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, involves a paddle and plastic ball with holes.
Marcos will compete in five event weekends, one per month, starting from May to September, ending the Championship in October. July 19th to 21st as Cincinnati prepares to host the NPL event. From August 9th to 11th, Kansas City will host an exciting event. From September 13th to 15th for an exciting pickleball event, NPL will move to Houston

Deer Creek Community Enrichment Foundation has been awarded a $45,000 grant from Casey’s to develop school safety across their district by installing door safety devices on over 1,200 doors. This initiative is part of the 2023-24 Cash for Classrooms program, aimed at supporting physical improvements, material needs, and promoting teacher and faculty support for student engagement.
During their April meeting, the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education honored State Regent Ann Holloway with the title of State Regent Emeritus. Appointed by Gov. Mary Fallin in 2013 and reappointed for a nine-year term in May 2015, Holloway finishes her second term on May 16 after years of dedicated service on the board.
