Orlando City officially debuted its new Sunken Treasure kit on Tuesday, offering fans a first look at the design during a launch event at The Final Whistle at Thornton Park Pub that evening. This new gold-themed kit will serve as the club’s secondary uniform alongside the Perfect Storm jersey introduced last season, with Orlando Health continuing as the front-of-shirt sponsor for an 11th consecutive year.
Design Draws Inspiration from Florida’s Rich Maritime History
The Sunken Treasure kit is inspired by Florida’s famed Treasure Coast and marks the first time Orlando City has featured a predominantly gold jersey in its history. The design incorporates a subtle central pattern that blends a golden lion emblem with imagery referencing the 1715 Treasure Fleet, a Spanish convoy laden with New World riches that sank during a hurricane, leaving 11 out of 12 ships underwater along Florida’s coast.
