Carson Hocevar Commits to Spire Motorsports Through 2030s

Carson Hocevar has agreed to an extensive contract extension with Spire Motorsports, guaranteeing his presence in the NASCAR Cup Series well into the 2030s. This deal highlights Hocevar’s rising status in motorsports and emphasizes Spire’s confidence in his ability to lead the team into a competitive future.

The 23-year-old driver began his full-time Cup Series career in 2024 and quickly established himself as a key figure for Spire’s No. 77 team, despite yet to record a Cup victory. Hocevar has achieved three top-five finishes and 15 top-ten results across 81 starts, demonstrating consistent promise and growth in the highly competitive series.

On-Track Performance and Team Dynamics Driving the Partnership

Hocevar’s connection with Spire has been strengthened since his debut season in 2023. At the recent Clash at Bowman Gray, he led for 18 laps, showcasing his potential, although a late-race incident prevented a stronger finish. Despite that setback, his performance underscored his talent and determination.

This is a dream come true,

Hocevar said, celebrating the extended partnership with Spire.

I love to race, and there’s really no place better to race than here. This contract solidifies our commitment to each other and sets the stage for future successes.

He highlighted his close bond with key team members, comparing co-owner Jeff Dickerson to a father figure, supported by crew chief Luke Lambert, spotter Tyler Green, and team president Bill Anthony.

Everyone in the building has really become a family to me,

Hocevar added, reflecting on how the team environment has evolved since he joined.

This exposure will allow him to sharpen his skills and build additional racing experience, further preparing him to excel at the highest levels of NASCAR competition.

Team Leadership Expresses Enthusiasm Over Hocevar’s Extension

Jeff Dickerson, co-owner of Spire Motorsports, expressed excitement about the multi-year deal and its impact on the team’s future.

It’s a huge moment for us to announce an extension with Carson that takes us out for multiple years,

Dickerson stated.

Having him in the No. 77 gives our sponsors and competition group the stability to plan ahead. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see Carson grow both on and off the track. I love him like a son, and knowing he’ll be with us for years to come means the world to me. This announcement might even test my blood pressure medication, but it’s all worth it!

Looking Ahead: What This Means for NASCAR and Spire Motorsports

Carson Hocevar’s long-term commitment with Spire Motorsports signals a promising future for both driver and team. As Hocevar continues to develop his skills and pursue race victories, Spire gains stability and continuity crucial for competitive success.
