Carson Hocevar Locked in with Spire Motorsports Through 2031

Carson Hocevar will continue driving the No. 77 Chevrolet Camaro for Spire Motorsports under a contract extension lasting through the 2031 season. This agreement was announced on February 5, 2026, shortly after Hocevar completed a 15th-place finish in the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. The deal commits Hocevar to the team for nearly a decade, solidifying his role as a central competitor for Spire Motorsports.

Expanded Role Across Multiple Racing Series

Beyond his Cup Series duties, Hocevar’s contract includes competing in other series for Spire Motorsports. The agreement highlights Hocevar making the maximum allowable starts in the Craftsman Truck Series as part of the team’s campaign to win an owner’s championship. Additionally, he will participate in Late Model races while representing the organization.

Steady Progress and Strong Performances in Cup Series

Since debuting in the Cup Series in 2024 as a rookie, Hocevar has demonstrated considerable growth behind the wheel. He has achieved three top-five finishes and 15 top-ten results, along with one pole position. Over his career so far, he has led 138 laps and been a contender in several races. His best performances include runner-up finishes at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta and Nashville Superspeedway, showcasing his potential in NASCAR‘s premier division.

Leadership Perspective on Hocevar’s Future with the Team

Jeff Dickerson, co-owner of Spire Motorsports, expressed his enthusiasm about extending Hocevar’s tenure with the team.

“It’s a pretty big moment for our company to announce an extension with Carson (Hocevar) that takes us out for multiple years,”

Dickerson said.

“It’s not just about knowing he’ll be here with us for the long-haul, but it gives our sponsors and competition group the foresight to make their own plans knowing he’s in the seat of the No. 77 as far as we can see.”

He added,

“It has been an absolutely rewarding experience getting to know Carson and watching him grow up, and learn from the good and bad both at and away from the racetrack. I love him like a son and it means a great deal to me, personally, knowing he’ll be here for several years.”

With a touch of humor about the announcement’s intensity, Dickerson remarked,

I expect this announcement could test the effectiveness of my blood pressure medication, so I’ve alerted my physician he may have to adjust the dosage appropriately but, it’ll be worth it.

It’s not up to Carson Hocevar to decide whether this race was great or not. That’s up to the fans. He enjoyed the unique experience.

Implications of the Extended Partnership

This extensive contract extension reinforces Spire Motorsports’ commitment to Hocevar as a foundational figure in their racing efforts. For sponsors, the stability allows more strategic planning, while for Hocevar, it provides a strong platform to further develop his career at NASCAR’s highest levels. Looking ahead, Hocevar’s continued presence aims to elevate the team’s competitiveness in both the Cup and Truck Series as they pursue championship goals.
