Kyle Larson, Crew Chief Cliff Daniels Extend Hendrick Deals

Hendrick Motorsports has confirmed five-year contract extensions with reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson and key sponsor HendrickCars.com, ensuring their partnership continues through the 2031 season. Alongside Larson’s deal, crew chief Cliff Daniels, 37, has also signed a multi-year extension, reinforcing his leadership role with the iconic No. 5 Chevrolet team. Together since 2021, Larson and Daniels have guided Hendrick Motorsports to two Cup Series championships, in 2021 and 2025, dominating numerous vital racing metrics throughout that period. HendrickCars.com will remain the principal sponsor for Larson’s No. 5 team in 35 of the 38 Cup Series races each season, marking one of the sport’s most substantial single-team sponsorship commitments.

Performance and Partnership Highlights Between Larson, Daniels, and HendrickCars.com

Kyle Larson, 33, has amassed 32 career victories in points-paying NASCAR Cup Series events, including 26 wins since joining Hendrick Motorsports in 2021, surpassing all competitors in that timeframe by ten victories. His achievements include two championships, triumphs in the 2021 and 2023 NASCAR All-Star Races, and leadership in all major statistical categories such as runner-up finishes (18), top-five results (78), top-10 finishes (103), and laps led (7,149). Over the past five seasons, Larson has outpaced every other driver by leading 2,058 more laps.

Jeffrey “JB” Brown, president of Hendrick Automotive Group, expressed gratitude for the collaboration, saying,

“We’re incredibly grateful for this partnership with our teammates at Hendrick Motorsports. Since 2021, the program has consistently delivered a nearly three-to-one return with record-breaking traffic to HendrickCars.com, over $80 million in television exposure and tens of millions of social media engagements. As we enter our company’s 50th anniversary year, racing has driven results and united our teammates in such a powerful way that extending our relationship with Kyle, Cliff, and this championship team was a no-brainer.”

Larson shared his enthusiasm for the future:

“I’m incredibly grateful to continue my career with Hendrick Motorsports and HendrickCars.com. This team, this organization and this family have given me everything I need to compete at the highest level. We’ve accomplished a lot together, but I truly believe the best is still ahead. I’m grateful to Mr. Hendrick and JB for believing in me, and I’m excited to keep chasing wins and championships with Cliff and the 5 team for many more years.”

Team Leadership and Community Involvement

Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports and chairman and CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group, emphasized the importance of people driving success:

“When you look at what it takes to succeed at the highest level year after year, it starts with people. Kyle is one of the most complete drivers in our sport. His talent, work ethic and instincts give us a chance to win every time we race. Cliff is a true servant leader who brings out the best in everyone around him and sets the standard for how we go to the track. Having HendrickCars.com alongside this group continues to create real, measurable value for our automotive business. Together, it’s a combination that will keep winning races and competing for championships for a long time.”

Off the track, Larson is committed to giving back through the Kyle Larson Foundation, which he launched in 2021. The foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support hands-on charitable programs benefiting youth, families, and communities in need. His roots remain in Elk Grove, California, where the foundation’s impact reaches.

HendrickCars.com’s Broad Involvement in Motorsports

Since 2007, HendrickCars.com has maintained a strong and diverse presence across North American auto racing. The brand has backed nearly 30 drivers across NASCAR’s three national series and extended sponsorship to competitors in INDYCAR, NHRA, IMSA, the CARS Tour, High Limit Racing, and various dirt racing series. In 2026, HendrickCars.com will continue expanding its footprint as the majority sponsor of Corey Day and the No. 17 Hendrick Motorsports team in the NASCAR O’Reilly Series.
