Dean Thompson and the No. 26 Thompson Pipe Group (TPG) team will compete this Saturday at EchoPark Speedway in Hampton, Georgia, aiming to improve on last season’s near top-10 finish. The Bennett Transportation and Logistics 250, held at the 1.54-mile intermediate track, begins at 5 pm ET and will be broadcast on the CW Network. Thompson’s goal is to build on his experience and showcase growth on this challenging circuit.
Thompson’s Experience at EchoPark and in NASCAR
This event marks Thompson’s third NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series start at EchoPark Speedway. Additionally, he holds three starts in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series during the 2024 season, including a top-10 finish. The growing experience in both series is proving valuable as he competes against tough fields and seeks a breakthrough performance.
Sam Hunt Racing’s History and Achievements at the Track
Sam Hunt Racing, Thompson’s team, has made 13 starts at EchoPark Speedway, highlighted by a strong near-win in 2024. The team’s best qualifying effort was achieved by Santino Ferrucci, while Corey Heim holds their best finish, having contested the lead on the final lap that same year before finishing fifth. Thompson also secured SHR’s first stage win at Rockingham Speedway during the 2025 season, leading 11 laps and proving his capacity to contend in tight races.
New Season Looks Bright with Fresh Partnerships and Scheme
This weekend, the No. 26 team will race with the Thompson Pipe Group as its primary partner, returning with the white camo scheme for the 2026 season under the lights at EchoPark Speedway. This partnership brings renewed energy and focus as Thompson pursues success in one of NASCAR’s competitive events.
