Tyler Reddick has rapidly established himself as a dominant force in NASCAR with consecutive victories to start the season. After capturing his first career Daytona 500 just last week, the 23XI Racing driver clinched his second win of the year at EchoPark Speedway on Sunday, February 22, showcasing his rising prowess in the sport.
This remarkable achievement places Reddick among an exclusive group of NASCAR legends who have won the first two races of a full Cup Series season. Joining names such as Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon, David Pearson, Bob Welborn, and Marvin Panch, Reddick now shares a unique distinction that highlights his potential to shape this year’s championship narrative.
Joining NASCAR’s Historic Winners with a Strong Start
Reddick’s win at EchoPark marked not only his second straight victory of the 2026 season but also his 10th NASCAR Cup Series triumph overall. This milestone made him the 67th driver in Cup history to reach double-digit wins. He edged out Chase Briscoe by a slim margin of 0.164 seconds to take the checkered flag, while Ross Chastain, Carson Hocevar, and Daniel Suarez completed the top five positions.
Reflecting on his recent success, Reddick admitted the feeling was special, especially after numerous near-misses earlier in his Cup career.

“I mean, it’s cool, but 6-7 is a lot,”
he said in a post-race interview.
“It is cool, though. Yeah, over the last couple of years I’ve definitely hated seeing how many second-place finishes I’ve had in my short time here in the Cup Series. So to be able to even that out a little bit more with some victories has been nice,”
he added.
Currently, Reddick stands tied with NASCAR veterans like Donnie Allison of the Alabama Gang, Clint Bowyer, and two-time Daytona 500 winner Sterling Marlin, all ranked 64th on the all-time Cup wins list. Considering that he began the season ranked 78th, this rapid ascent underscores his growing impact in the series.
Michael Jordan Praises Reddick’s Relentless Drive
As the team owner of 23XI Racing and an NBA legend, Michael Jordan witnessed firsthand the relentless effort Reddick put forth to secure his latest win. Jordan, who has high expectations for his team, expressed immense pride in Reddick’s performance after the race.
“Tyler drove his ass off, and I’m very happy for Tyler. I’m very happy for 23XI. The guys worked hard all summer. I know we had our little ordeal, but they never gave up.”
– Michael Jordan, 23XI Racing Owner
“They kept working hard, and this is the fruit of their labor. You know, they put forth the effort, and for us to come out and win the first two races says a lot about our whole team.”
– Michael Jordan, 23XI Racing Owner
Jordan’s comments highlight the commitment of the entire 23XI Racing crew, which has persevered through challenges to produce such outstanding results in the early stages of the season.
Team Effort Continues with Teammate Bubba Wallace
Alongside Reddick, teammate Bubba Wallace demonstrated strong performance at EchoPark Speedway by leading 46 laps and finishing eighth in the 260-lap race. Reddick led 53 laps, showing the combined strength and competitiveness of the 23XI Racing duo. Both drivers now prepare to compete together once more at the upcoming DuraMax Grand Prix Powered by RelaDyne, scheduled for Sunday, March 1, at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA).
Fans eager to follow the race can tune in live on FOX or listen to updates via PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Broader NASCAR Landscape: Rising Stars and Upcoming Events
While Reddick’s back-to-back wins are the talk of the NASCAR world, other drivers and events also continue to generate attention. Kyle Busch recently criticized Noah Gragson following a severe crash at Atlanta, underscoring the intense competition on the circuit. In preparation for the race at EchoPark Speedway, William Byron noted that windy conditions could pose a significant challenge for drivers.
In other notable news, Richard Petty announced the 30th anniversary of the Kyle Petty Charity Ride, set to coincide with the NASCAR Atlanta race, further connecting the sport’s rich history with charitable efforts. Meanwhile, the competitive atmosphere remains fierce as emerging talents and veterans alike vie for positions heading into the new season.
Upcoming Races Offer Opportunities for Momentum and Growth
Reddick’s string of performances this season has injected energy and hope for a promising championship run, but the challenge remains steep as NASCAR’s Cup Series progresses. The next race at COTA will prove pivotal for Reddick and his 23XI Racing team as they aim to build on their momentum and keep their dominant form alive against a field of determined contenders.
With a blend of skill, teamwork, and relentless determination, Tyler Reddick’s surge is likely to shape the competitive landscape throughout the season, inspiring fans and fellow racers alike.
