NASCAR Full Speed Doc Moves to Prime with 2026 Daytona Focus

NASCAR is transitioning its Full Speed documentary series from Netflix to Amazon Prime Video, with the latest installment concentrated on the 2026 Daytona 500 event held earlier this month. The move reflects NASCAR’s strategic shift in media partnerships, aligning with Prime Video’s recent role as one of NASCAR’s domestic media-rights holders.

Evolution of the Full Speed Docuseries Over Three Seasons

The Full Speed series launched in January 2024, initially documenting the 2023 Cup Series playoffs, supported by a $5 million investment amid growing interest in sports documentaries. The second season followed a similar format, releasing multiple episodes in May 2025 to revisit the 2024 playoffs. However, for the 2026 Daytona focus, NASCAR opted for a single-episode documentary rather than a full season, marking a departure from earlier editions.

Faster Release and Expanded Availability

NASCAR plans to debut this concentrated 2026 Daytona 500 episode on March 5, delivering a more expedited release compared to previous seasons. Additionally, the earlier two seasons will also be accessible on Prime Video, broadening the series’ availability to streaming audiences under NASCAR’s updated media agreements.
