Pacers Lock In Quenton Jackson with New Full NBA Contract

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Pacers have confirmed that guard Quenton Jackson has signed a full NBA contract, while forward Jalen Slawson agreed to a two-way deal, the team announced on Saturday. These moves come as the Pacers seek to strengthen their roster amid a challenging season.

Jackson’s Journey and Current Performance with the Pacers

Quenton Jackson initially joined the Pacers with a two-way contract in March 2024 after going undrafted in 2022. Over four NBA seasons, he has played in 70 games, averaging seven points, two assists, and 1.7 rebounds per game with an overall field goal percentage of 47.9%. This season alone, Jackson has participated in 30 games, starting 10 of them, with averages rising to nine points, two assists, and 2.2 rebounds per contest. He is also shooting an impressive 40.5% from beyond the arc in 17.3 minutes per game.

Jalen Slawson’s Role and Development in the Pacers Organization

Forward Jalen Slawson joined the Pacers through a trade prior to the 2025-26 season after being selected 54th overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 2023 NBA Draft. Slawson has played in 36 games for the Pacers’ G League team, the Noblesville Boom, where he has been productive, averaging 9.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 2.2 blocks per game while shooting 48.1% from the field. Notably, he is tied for the most triple-doubles in Noblesville Boom history with two.

Pacers’ Current Challenges and Future Outlook

These contract moves come amid a season plagued by injuries, most recently when Johnny Furphy tore his ACL during a game against the Toronto Raptors on February 8. The Pacers currently hold the lowest standing in the Eastern Conference with a 15-45 record. With the season winding down, the team is focusing on improving its position in the 2026 NBA Draft, hoping to secure a top-four pick to aid in the franchise’s rebuilding efforts.
