LaMelo Ball Ties Hornets Record with 10 Three-Pointers

Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball delivered a remarkable performance on Sunday against the Washington Wizards, making 10 three-pointers in just three quarters and tying the team’s single-game franchise record. This milestone equals the mark previously set by Kemba Walker, Terry Rozier, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Devonte’ Graham.

Impressive Third Quarter Fuels Hornets’ Record-Tying Quarter

Ball was particularly outstanding during the third quarter, sinking six three-pointers on seven attempts. The Hornets collectively made 12 shots from beyond the arc in that quarter, tying an NBA record for the most three-pointers made in a single quarter, as confirmed by the team.

Strong Overall Performance Boosts Playoff Hopes

Although Ball played only 27 minutes, he scored 37 points, nearly matching his season-high of 38 points from an earlier game against the Wizards. After two games with fewer than 20 points, this resurgence is encouraging. He also contributed eight rebounds and seven assists, showing his well-rounded play.

If Ball continues this level of shooting, the Hornets’ chances of securing a playoff berth could improve as the season progresses.

“Ball had six triples in the third quarter alone on seven attempts, and the Hornets nailed 12 three-pointers in the frame to tie the NBA record for the most in a single quarter, the team announced.” – Team Announcement
