At 25 years old, Renardo Green is still early in his NFL career and could be a worthwhile trade acquisition. Graziano notes that Green might not fit the 49ers’ new defensive scheme under coordinator Raheem Morris, which could lead to his departure. Despite recording only one interception in two seasons, Green has consistently made over ten pass breakups each year, showcasing his ability to disrupt passing plays.
Green’s playing style is aggressive and sometimes risky, but his combination of speed and athleticism aligns with what Green Bay needs in a cornerback. Furthermore, his contract situation is appealing for the Packers, as he has two years left at a total cost of $3.04 million with no guaranteed money.
