Colorado Avalanche’s Brock Nelson Misses U.S. Hockey White House Visit

The U.S. men’s hockey team gathered at the White House on Tuesday ahead of President Trump’s State of the Union address, but Brock Nelson of the Colorado Avalanche was absent. Nelson, a key forward for the Olympic gold medal-winning team, remained in Denver with his family instead of attending the event in Washington, D.C.

Return to Team Duties in Denver and Utah

Nelson is expected to rejoin the Avalanche as they prepare to play in Utah on Wednesday night. Along with Nelson, other Colorado players who competed in the Olympics have returned home to Denver to resume playing for their NHL team following the international competition.
