The event has sparked interest not only for the competition but also because Woods may present the trophy to the players, highlighting the ongoing connection between the two golfing stars.

McIlroy and Woods: A Relationship Rooted in Rivalry and Respect

The relationship between Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods is layered and long-standing, dating back to when McIlroy debuted on the PGA Tour. By then, Woods had already amassed 13 major titles, including a career Grand Slam, setting a high bar in professional golf.
