UFC’s Mike Malott Taps Adam Posener for Gilbert Burns Training

Adam Posener, undefeated at 7-0, discussed his recent first-round submission win over Dany Mallette at BFL 86 on February 19. During the interview, Posener also revealed that UFC welterweight Mike Malott reached out to him with a request to assist in training for Malott’s upcoming fight against Gilbert Burns scheduled for April 18. This conversation highlights the collaboration occurring ahead of a high-profile matchup.

Collaboration Between Mike Malott and Adam Posener

Posener explained that Mike Malott contacted him prior to his recent fight to organize joint training sessions for the Burns bout. However, due to scheduling conflicts, they were not able to finalize the arrangements before the event. Despite this, both fighters remain committed to setting up training together soon, signaling ongoing preparations for the main event.

I was actually talking to Mike Mallott … we’re trying to set up some some training for that (Gilbert Burns) fight. He reached out like a bit before (my) fight to try and get some training going. But just due to timing, it just didn’t quite work out the way that we wanted it to. We’ll get something set up there.
