Pickleball Street Fest: Downtown Louisville is set to host its first-ever Downtown Pickleball Street Fest, a two-day extravaganza celebrating the sport’s popularity and the vibrant culture of the city. Scheduled for Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30, the event promises a unique blend of competitive play, community engagement, and lively festivities.
West Jefferson St., from 4th to 5th Street, along with sections of 4th St. between Market and Jefferson, will be converted into courts for players of all skill levels. The plaza at 4th and Jefferson will also serve as a central hub for activities, creating a dynamic backdrop for the festival’s vibrant atmosphere.
Saturday kicks off with open play from 10 AM to 6 PM, accompanied by a bustling vendor market, food trucks offering local delights, and live music from noon to 6 PM. Attendees can enjoy the festive ambiance while exploring artisanal goods and sampling treats from Louisville’s diverse culinary scene.
Sunday’s festivities continue with another day of vendor markets, food trucks, and music from noon to 6 PM. The highlight of the day is the Pickleball tournament from 8 AM to 12 PM, where participants will showcase their skills and compete for top honors in various categories.
Organized by the Louisville Downtown Partnership, in collaboration with Goodbounce Pickleball Yard, the festival aims to promote community engagement through sports and celebrate Downtown Louisville’s vibrancy. With support from local businesses, including breweries offering craft beers and cocktails, the event promises a weekend filled with sportsmanship, camaraderie, and the spirit of competition.
