Brooklyn Controls Every Game

The Brooklyn Pickleball Team won all matchups before the Dreambreaker round, which was not played because they had already secured victory. Rachel Rohrabacher and Jackie Kawamoto started strong in women’s doubles, beating Callie Smith and Vivian Glozman 11-3.

In the men’s doubles, Riley Newman and AJ Koller continued the momentum, defeating James Ignatowich and Max Freeman with a score of 11-4. Brooklyn led 2-0 after two quick rounds.

Mixed Doubles Show Strength

Brooklyn’s mixed doubles teams also stayed sharp. Riley Newman and Jackie Kawamoto beat Callie Smith and James Ignatowich 11-3 in the first mixed doubles match. Then, AJ Koller and Rachel Rohrabacher faced tough competition in the second mixed doubles match but managed a close 12-10 win against Max Freeman and Vivian Glozman.

Since Brooklyn won all four matches, the Dreambreaker—a tiebreaker round usually played if the score is 2-2—was not needed.

Brooklyn Keeps Winning

This victory gives the Brooklyn Pickleball Team their fourth win of the season. The Chicago Slice, still looking for their first win, fall to 0-4. The clean sweep by Brooklyn shows strong teamwork and balanced play across all doubles formats.

The players from Brooklyn—Rachel Rohrabacher, Jackie Kawamoto, Riley Newman, and AJ Koller—played with speed and control. Their chemistry helped them win each game comfortably, except for the tight final mixed doubles round.
