Event Format
- MLPlay Format: The Dink Minor League Pickleball event features the dynamic MLPlay format. Teams of 4 players (2 women and 2 men) compete in a series of four 21-point games:
- Women’s Doubles
- Men’s Doubles
- Two Mixed Doubles
- Dreambreaker: If the match ends with a 2-2 tie, teams will participate in a Dreambreaker, where one player from each team plays singles against the other team’s player. Players switch every four rallies until a player reaches 21 points with a two-point lead.
DUPR Divisions
- DUPR 20: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 20.99
- DUPR 18: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 18.30
Maximum individual player DUPR 5.10 - DUPR 16: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 16.30
Maximum individual player DUPR 4.60 - DUPR 14: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 14.30
Maximum individual player DUPR 4.10 - DUPR 12: Team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 12.30
Maximum individual player DUPR 3.60
Registration & Requirements
- DUPR Account: Required for all participants at the time of registration. Not rated players can compete, but their estimated rating will be verified by the tournament director.
- Single Registrations: If registering individually but part of a team, specify the team name and DUPR division. If unable to form a team, the tournament director will assist in placement, with refunds available for unplaced players.
- Substitute Players: Substitutes can be added by logging into Swish or submitting details to the tournament organizer. The substitute’s DUPR must not cause the team’s aggregate to exceed the event’s limit.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellation Deadline: To receive a refund minus the $5 technology fee and the 3% processing fee, cancellations must be received by October 1, 2024. No refunds will be issued after this date.
- Individual Registration Refund Policy: Single registrations are not guaranteed placement on a team. Players who sign up individually and are not placed will receive a full refund minus the $5 technology fee and the 3% processing fee 3-5 business days after the event ends.
