Alyssa Thomas (born April 12, 1992) is an American professional basketball forward for the Phoenix Mercury of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and for the Laces of Unrivaled. A former standout at the University of Maryland, Thomas is widely regarded as one of the most complete players of her generation, capable of filling the stat sheet across scoring, rebounding, assists, and steals on a nightly basis. Known by the nickname “The Engine,” she has built a reputation for relentless effort and versatility since entering the league in 2014.
