Devin Duvernay Bio
Devin Duvernay (born September 12, 1997) is an American professional football wide receiver and return specialist for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Texas Longhorns and was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Duvernay has earned Pro Bowl honors twice and was a First-team All-Pro in 2021 for his play as a return specialist. Duvernay has also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Early Life and Background
Devin Duvernay was born in Sachse, Texas. He attended Sachse High School, where he had an impressive football career. During his time in high school, he recorded 170 receptions for 2,906 yards and 36 touchdowns. Duvernay also set the school record for the longest kickoff return touchdown at 109 yards, achieved during his sophomore year. His talent on the field earned him a spot in the 2016 Under Armour All-America Game. Initially, Duvernay committed to Baylor University for college football but later switched to the University of Texas at Austin.

Duvernay began his college football career at the University of Texas in 2016, where he played in all 12 games as a true freshman, recording 20 receptions for 412 yards and three touchdowns. In his sophomore year, he played in all 13 games, contributing nine receptions for 124 yards. By his junior year, Duvernay had established himself as a key player, starting all 14 games and finishing the season with 41 receptions for 546 yards and four touchdowns. In his senior year in 2019, he excelled as the number one receiver, compiling 1,386 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on 106 receptions.

Devin Duvernay was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, with the 92nd overall pick. He made his NFL debut in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns, recording a 12-yard reception in a 38–6 victory. In Week 3, he scored his first career touchdown with a 93-yard kickoff return against the Kansas City Chiefs. His performance in the 2021 season was notable, as he became a Pro Bowl selection as a return specialist, showcasing his versatility and skill on special teams.

Duvernay’s breakout season came in 2021 when he was thrust into a more prominent role due to injuries to teammates.
