Early Life and Background

Dennis Thayne Rodman was born on April 25, 2001, in Newport Beach, California. He attended Kaiser Elementary in Costa Mesa, California, and Ensign Intermediate School in Newport Beach for middle school. As a high school freshman, Rodman played basketball for Corona del Mar High School in Newport Beach, California. In his sophomore season, he averaged 19.6 points per game and led his team to a 22–8 record. After the season, Rodman transferred to JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, California. In his junior year, he averaged 16.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. During his senior season, he excelled with an average of 24.2 points per game and 8.9 rebounds per game. In May 2019, Rodman committed to playing college basketball for Washington State University.

Rodman initially received limited playing time during his freshman season at Washington State. However, his opportunities increased following an injury to a teammate. On January 16, 2020, he scored a season-high eight points along with five rebounds in a victory over Oregon. Throughout his freshman season, he averaged 1.7 points and 1.9 rebounds in 11.9 minutes per game across 26 appearances. The season was ultimately cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rodman faced challenges during his sophomore season, including missing eight games due to injury, but he managed to average 6.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. On May 10, 2023, he announced his transfer to play for the University of Southern California for his final season of college eligibility.

After going undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft, Rodman joined the Los Angeles Clippers for the 2024 NBA Summer League. On October 26, 2024, he signed with the Capital City Go-Go of the NBA G League. He faced a tumultuous start, being waived on November 25, only to be re-signed four days later. However, he was waived again on December 3. Despite these setbacks, Rodman continued to pursue his professional career.

Breakthrough (2025)
