Greensboro Swarm

Team Information

The Greensboro Swarm are an American basketball team that competes in the NBA G League, based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Founded in 2016, they are the official affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets and play their home games at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. The team became the eleventh Development League team owned by an NBA franchise. The Swarm achieved their first winning season and playoff appearance during the 2024-25 season under head coach D.J. Bakker. Known for their dark purple, teal, cool gray, and white team colors, the Swarm represent a key player development squad for the Hornets organization.
