He was drafted in the first round of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft by Toronto FC, being the sixth overall pick. Dorsey made his professional debut on February 19, 2019, in a CONCACAF Champions League match against Independiente. He spent a significant portion of the 2019 season on loan with Toronto FC II, where he scored his first professional goal on June 12, 2019.

Breakthrough (2021–Present)

After being waived by Toronto FC in May 2021, Dorsey signed with Houston Dynamo on July 5, 2021.
