His performance helped lead his team to a remarkable 23–2 record, and he was named to the Indiana All-Star team. At Miami (Ohio), Jalen Adaway began his college career with promising statistics, averaging 8.5 points and five rebounds per game as a freshman. He continued to develop his skills, averaging 7.5 points and five rebounds per game in his sophomore year. Following this season, he transferred to St. Bonaventure University, where he sat out a year due to NCAA transfer regulations. During his junior year, he averaged 12.2 points and six rebounds per game, contributing significantly to the Bonnies’ success in winning the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament and securing an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. Early Career (2022–2023)
After going undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft, Jalen Adaway joined the Miami Heat for the 2022 NBA Summer League. He signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the San Antonio Spurs on August 31, 2022, and subsequently joined the Austin Spurs in the NBA G League. During his time with the Austin Spurs, Adaway showcased his potential, but in April 2023, he was dismissed from the league for violating the terms of the NBA G League Anti-Drug program.
Breakthrough (2023–Present)
Following his dismissal from the NBA G League, Jalen Adaway signed with BK Patrioti Levice of the Slovak Basketball League on July 12, 2023. His performance in Slovakia was notable, as he was recognized as the All-Slovakian Nike SBL Guard of the Year and earned First Team honors. In May 2024, he joined the Scarborough Shooting Stars of the Canadian Elite Basketball League.
