He played college basketball for Western Kentucky University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) before playing professionally in the NBA G League, Australia, Spain, Belgium, Israel, Germany, Mexico, Ukraine, and Puerto Rico. Early Life and Background

Jordan Swing was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and grew up in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. He attended Vestavia Hills High School, where he developed his skills in basketball under coach George Hatchett. As a sophomore, he averaged 13 points, six rebounds, and four assists per game, which laid the foundation for his future in basketball. Swing’s high school career peaked during his senior year when he led his team to an Alabama 6A state title, earning multiple accolades, including Gatorade Alabama Player of the Year.

Path to Basketball

After graduating from high school, Jordan Swing signed a National Letter of Intent to play college basketball at Western Kentucky University. However, after one season, he transferred to UAB, where he made a significant impact on the team. Swing’s college career was marked by his scoring ability and contributions to the Blazers, where he averaged double figures in scoring during his junior and senior years. His performance at UAB helped him transition into professional basketball after he went undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft.

Jordan Swing began his professional career with the Canton Charge in the NBA Development League after going undrafted in 2014. He made his debut on November 15, 2014, scoring 12 points in his first game. Despite a brief stint with the Charge, Swing showcased his potential, averaging 4.0 points in 11 games. After being waived, he joined the Lakeside Lightning in Australia, where he had a standout season, earning Player of the Week honors and being selected for the SBL All-Star Game.

Breakthrough (2015–2019)

Swing’s breakthrough came during his time with the Lakeside Lightning, where he averaged 27.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. His impressive performance earned him All-Star Five honors in 2015. He then moved to Spain, playing for Oviedo CB and later CAI Zaragoza, where he continued to develop his game.
