Louie Belpedio (born May 14, 1996) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman currently playing for the Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the third round, 80th overall, by the Minnesota Wild in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Louie Belpedio was born in Skokie, Illinois, USA. Growing up, he showed an early interest in ice hockey, which led him to play midget hockey at the Culver Military Academy in Indiana.
