Patrick K. Agyemang was born in East Hartford, Connecticut, to Ghanaian parents. He spent his childhood in East Hartford, where he was a varsity starter in soccer for two years at East Hartford High School, earning all-conference honors in 2017. During his high school years, Agyemang also played club soccer for the Hartford Hellions Soccer Club, which laid the foundation for his future in the sport.

Agyemang attended Eastern Connecticut State University in 2018 to play college soccer. Over two seasons with the Eastern Connecticut Warriors, he made 39 appearances, scoring 30 goals and providing 10 assists. His outstanding performance earned him several accolades, including LEC Rookie of the Year and LEC Offensive Player of the Year. In 2020, he transferred to the University of Rhode Island, where he continued to excel, netting 19 goals and assisting 12 times in 37 appearances.
