Early Life and Background

William Kwenkeu was born in Douala, Cameroon, to Francois Kwenkeu, a high-ranking army officer, and Martine Etammane. He became a regular starter in 2020 and had a breakout season in 2021, scoring his first college touchdown on a fumble return against the Akron Zips. His performance that year earned him the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week award. In total, Kwenkeu played in 47 games at Temple, recording 183 tackles and seven sacks.
