The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will debut its first-ever street race on the Streets of St. Petersburg on Saturday during the OnlyBulls Green Flag 150. Weather conditions forced a significant reduction in practice time, leaving drivers with only about 10 minutes to prepare and no qualifying session ahead of the event in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Kaden Honeycutt, driving the No. 11 Safelite Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage, posted the fastest time in the condensed practice session. Honeycutt completed a lap in 78.922 seconds, averaging 82.106 mph around the 1.8-mile street course, continuing his strong start to the 2026 season.
Strong Performances Highlight Limited Practice Lap Times
A native of Willow Park, Texas, Honeycutt has demonstrated consistent speed throughout the early season, having led practice at Daytona International Speedway as well. Notably, the series did not have practice for its second race at EchoPark Speedway, making this brief session all the more critical for track familiarization.
Ben Maier, who is competing in just his third NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race and first of 2026, recorded the second-fastest lap. Maier, a Trans Am Series graduate and reigning zMAX CARS Tour Pro Late Model champion, drove the No. 4 Chevrolet Silverado RST for Niece Motorsports.

Ben Rhodes secured third place in the practice times, while former NTT IndyCar Series driver James Hinchcliffe surprised many by posting the fourth-best lap. Hinchcliffe ran only four laps but displayed competitive pace behind the wheel of the No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado RST.
Rounding out the top five was Ty Majeski in the No. 88 Menards Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing, further highlighting the depth of talent on the grid.
Top 10 Practice Results Reflect Competitive Field
Connor Mosack, who earned the pole position for the OnlyBulls Green Flag 150, was sixth quickest during the session. Following him were Chandler Smith, Jake Garcia, Tyler Ankrum, and Adam Andretti, who completed the top-10 in the short practice period.
Despite the limited time on track, all 36 drivers entered in the race managed to complete at least one lap. However, Colin Braun and Cole Butcher were only able to complete a single lap each. Butcher, a Rookie of the Year contender for ThorSport Racing, encountered early trouble when he struck the outside wall. This incident caused significant damage to his Atlantic Tiltload No. 13 truck during his first-ever road course outing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Veteran Driver Makes Impressive Return to Truck Series
Dario Franchitti, making his first Truck Series start in nearly 20 years, ran eight laps during practice and posted the 19th fastest time. The former IndyCar champion briefly led the speed charts earlier in the session while driving the No. 1 Dollar Tree Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage, hinting at his ability despite a long absence.
