Barnes will be part of Team All-Star, together with Oklahoma City Thunder‘s Chet Holmgren and retired three-time All-Star Richard Hamilton. The other squads include Team Knicks, featuring former Shooting Stars champion Allan Houston alongside current Knicks players Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns. Team Harper reunites Ron Harper Sr. with his sons, Dylan Harper of San Antonio and Ron Harper Jr. from Boston. Team Cameron, paying tribute to Duke University, consists of Corey Maggette, Charlotte’s Kon Knueppel, and Atlanta’s Jalen Johnson.

The last three editions of the Shooting Stars event were dominated by the trio of Chris Bosh, Swin Cash, and Dominique Wilkins. This year, Barnes will appear as a two-time All-Star on Team USA Stars, which is coached by Detroit Pistons’ J.B. Bickerstaff. The weekend will also crown a new dunk champion, since three-time winner Mac McClung is not competing following his previous statement that last year’s contest would be his final.
