Jaxson Hayes Headlines 2026 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Field

The NBA revealed the complete lineup for the 2026 AT&T Slam Dunk Contest as the All-Star Weekend approaches in Los Angeles. The dunk competition is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, at 5 p.m. ET, taking place at the new Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, the home arena of the Los Angeles Clippers.

The league’s official communications shared that this year’s Slam Dunk Contest will feature Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes, San Antonio Spurs rookie forward Carter Bryant, Orlando Magic rookie guard Jase Richardson, and Miami Heat forward Keshad Johnson. The contest is part of a packed program during the NBA’s midseason celebration from February 13 to 15.

Rising Stars Join Veteran Hayes in Quest for Dunk Crown

Jaxson Hayes stands out as a seasoned presence among primarily first-time participants, known for his remarkable jumping ability and power above the rim. His athleticism has continually impressed throughout his NBA tenure, making him a top candidate to challenge for the title.

The rookie class brings fresh energy to the event, with Carter Bryant showing early flashes of high-level athleticism as a forward for San Antonio. Rookie guard Jase Richardson offers explosive guard play for Orlando, while Keshad Johnson from Miami rounds out the competition with his creative, high-flying dunks and vertical prowess.

Slam Dunk Contest Builds Momentum Following Historic Three-Peat

Last year’s contest saw Chicago Bulls guard Mac McClung make history by securing his third consecutive Slam Dunk Contest championship, a first in NBA records. McClung’s streak has raised expectations for this year’s event and intensified interest among fans and players alike.

With a new venue and a fresh cadre of competitors, the 2026 Slam Dunk Contest aims to continue generating excitement around one of All-Star Weekend’s most anticipated competitions. Taking place on Saturday evening, this event remains a highlight of the league’s annual midseason showcase and a platform for the NBA’s most athletic players to display their talents.
