Battlehawks Transfer WR Lideatrick Griffin to Retired List

The St. Louis Battlehawks officially moved wide receiver Lideatrick Griffin to their retired list on Monday, according to the UFL Transactions page. This update marks a notable change in Griffin’s professional football career during the 2026 UFL season.

Lideatrick Griffin, a 25-year-old wide receiver standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 181 pounds, was originally drafted by the St. Louis Battlehawks in the 2026 UFL Draft. Before joining the Battlehawks, Griffin’s career included multiple team engagements across the NFL and UFL. He initially signed as an undrafted free agent with the Las Vegas Raiders on May 10, 2024, where he recorded 90 yards on three kick returns during two preseason games. However, the Raiders released him on August 27, 2024.

Prior to that, Griffin was drafted by the San Antonio Brahmas in the sixth round (47th overall pick) of the 2024 UFL College Draft. He also spent brief periods with NFL teams, including a practice squad stint with the Cleveland Browns from August 29 to September 10, 2024, and a contract with the Green Bay Packers from January 14 to May 5, 2025.

His standout 2022 season earned him First Team All-SEC and First Team All-American recognition. That year, he recorded 40 catches for 502 yards and four touchdowns, along with 19 kick returns for 613 yards and one touchdown, plus three punt returns and two solo tackles in 13 games.
