Maxx Crosby Trade Rumor: Raiders Hold Firm, No Deal Soon

The Las Vegas Raiders continue to maintain a firm stance on trading edge rusher Maxx Crosby, discouraging interested teams such as the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and New England Patriots. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Tuesday, the Raiders are demanding a costly return—two first-round draft picks plus a player—matching the type of offer the Cowboys made for Micah Parsons.

Raiders Remain Unwilling to Lower Price for Crosby

Schefter, speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, emphasized that the Raiders are unlikely to reduce their asking price for Crosby.

“I don’t expect the price to go down much [on Maxx Crosby],”

he said. Further explaining the team’s position, Schefter added,

“I think the Raiders would be prepared to keep Maxx Crosby if they don’t get the price they want.”

He clarified that the Raiders are seeking a Micah Parsons-level trade package.

“They’re looking for a Micah Parsons type of package,”

Schefter stated.

“Are they going to get that? I don’t know. If they don’t, then what do they do?”

Crosby Unlikely to Request Trade, Raiders Prepared to Retain Him

The only scenario likely to weaken the Raiders’ demanding price is if Crosby himself requests a trade, which ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler indicates is not forthcoming. Without such a request, the Raiders are poised to hold onto Crosby while awaiting an offer they deem acceptable.

Comments from Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak and general manager John Spytek reinforce the team’s commitment to Crosby. Kubiak stated during his introductory press conference,

“We want him to be a part of our success going forward. There’s no doubt about that.”

Spytek affirmed his belief as well, responding, “I do,” when asked if Crosby will remain with the Raiders.

Trade Prospects Dim for Interested Franchises

This firm position spells disappointment for teams like the Cowboys, Eagles, and Patriots, each rumored to monitor Crosby’s status closely. Given the high asking price and the Raiders’ unwillingness to compromise, a trade appears unlikely in the near term.

With the Raiders ready to retain their star edge rusher rather than accept less than their desired compensation, teams seeking to acquire Crosby will have to reconsider their plans or explore other options.
