The UFC has confirmed that Sean Brady and Joaquin Buckley will headline a welterweight event on April 25 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas. This significant matchup in the 170-pound division aims to create an electrifying atmosphere for the spring UFC Fight Night.
Fighters Entering Bout After Recent Defeats
Both Brady and Buckley are coming off losses in their latest matches. Sean Brady, 33, was progressing toward a title opportunity before suffering a knockout against Michael Morales at UFC 322 last November. Before that, Brady held an 18-1 record and had earned a submission victory over former welterweight champion Leon Edwards.
Joaquin Buckley, 31, had enjoyed a six-fight winning streak after moving down from middleweight to welterweight. His streak featured stoppage wins against Colby Covington and Stephen Thompson. However, Buckley was outmatched on the ground by ex-champion Kamaru Usman, ultimately losing a five-round decision in June.
