Pickleball 901 Summer Series at Crosstown Brewery: A Weekend of Fun and Competition

Pickleball 901 Summer Series at Crosstown Brewery: The 2024 Pickleball 901 Summer Series Presented by Orion FCU continues its exciting journey with another event at Crosstown Brewery. Scheduled for Saturday, June 8th, and Sunday, June 9th, this event promises two days filled with Pickleball, food, beer, and great company in the parking lot of Crosstown Brewery.

The action-packed weekend begins on Saturday morning with a pickleball party starting at noon. Attendees can look forward to four premium pickleball courts, music, food, drinks, and the addition of local vendors this year. For those new to the game, beginner clinics will also be available. On Sunday, the fun continues with a Crosstown Groove Fitness class at 11am, hosted by the lively emcee Tenelle, followed by tournaments starting at noon.

Saturday, June 8, 2024

  • 12PM – 8PM: FREE Pickleball in the CB parking lot
  • 12PM, 1PM, 2PM, 3PM: FREE Beginner Clinics – Learn How to Play Pickleball!

Sunday, June 9, 2024

  • 11AM – 12PM: Crosstown Groove Fitness with Tenelle
  • 12PM – 5PM: Beginners Tournament (Courts 1 and 2)
  • 12PM – 5PM: Intermediate Tournament (Courts 3 and 4)

To ensure fairness and accessibility, pickleball registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon arrival, attendees can find QR codes around the venue to scan, sign a waiver, and select a time to play.

SUNDAY TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION

On Sunday, June 9th, the Pickleball 901 Pop Up Tournament welcomes intermediate and seasoned players for a thrilling doubles tournament. Here are the key details:

  • Doubles tournament – partners can be the same or opposite gender
  • Two divisions: beginner and intermediate
  • Each division limited to 10 teams
  • Entry fee is $50 per team

Tournament Format:

  • Each team plays 3 round-robin style games to 11
  • After 3 rounds, Top 8 teams from each division advance to a single-elimination bracket-style playoff
  • Cash prizes for top 3 in each division: 1st place – $200; 2nd place – $100; 3rd place – $50
