Andrew Welinski was born on April 27, 1993, in Duluth, Minnesota, USA. He attended Duluth East High School, where he began to cultivate his passion for ice hockey. Path to Hockey

Following high school, Andrew Welinski played two seasons with the Green Bay Gamblers in the United States Hockey League (USHL), starting in 2010. During his second season, he helped the team capture both the Anderson Cup and the Clark Cup, while also earning recognition as the Defenseman of the Year and a spot on the All-USHL First Team. His impressive performance led to him being awarded the Dave Tyler Junior Player of the Year Award. He joined the Ducks’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Diego Gulls, on an amateur tryout agreement and made his AHL debut on April 6, 2016. Welinski made his NHL debut on December 11, 2017, against the Carolina Hurricanes. Throughout his early career, he played for various teams, including the Anaheim Ducks and Löwen Frankfurt.

Breakthrough (2016–Present)

After leaving the Anaheim Ducks following the 2018–19 season, Welinski signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on July 1, 2019. He spent the 2019–20 season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, where he recorded 8 goals and 21 points.
