He was selected by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Nichols played college football for the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens, where he earned recognition for his performance on the field.

Bilal Nichols was born in Newark, Delaware, where he grew up and attended Hodgson Vo-Tech High School. He was exposed to football at an early age and developed his skills throughout his high school years. His dedication to the sport led him to pursue a collegiate career at the University of Delaware, where he played for the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens from 2014 to 2017.
