Bismack Biyombo Sumba (born August 28, 1992) is a Congolese professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected with the seventh overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings and subsequently traded to the Charlotte Bobcats, now known as the Charlotte Hornets. Standing 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m) and listed at 255 lb (116 kg), Biyombo plays the center position and has built a reputation as a defensive and rebounding specialist over more than a decade in the league. In January 2011, Biyombo earned a promotion to Baloncesto Fuenlabrada of the first-tier Liga ACB, the top professional league in Spain. On July 7, 2016, Biyombo signed a four-year, $72 million contract with the Orlando Magic, the largest deal of his career. After serving a one-game suspension to begin the 2016–17 season for exceeding the playoff flagrant foul limit, he made his debut on October 28, 2016, against the Detroit Pistons. He posted a season-high 15 points twice during the year, first on January 16, 2017, against the Denver Nuggets, and again on February 11 against the Dallas Mavericks.

Return to Charlotte (2018–2021)
On July 7, 2018, Biyombo was traded back to the Charlotte Hornets in a three-team deal. He recorded a season-high 19 points along with 9 rebounds and 2 blocks in a 102–101 win over the Detroit Pistons on November 27, 2019, and logged a season-high 17 rebounds against the Indiana Pacers on December 16, 2019.
On February 5, 2021, Biyombo scored a season-high 13 points against the Utah Jazz, and on April 13, 2021, he posted a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds against the Los Angeles Lakers. Phoenix Suns (2022–2023)
After sitting out the 2021 calendar year in part due to grieving the passing of his father, François, Biyombo signed a 10-day contract with the Phoenix Suns on January 1, 2022, via the COVID-19 hardship exemption. He quickly proved his value and signed for the rest of the season on January 11, 2022. On January 22, 2022, he recorded 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists coming off the bench, and from January 26 to 30 he became a starter due to injuries to Deandre Ayton and JaVale McGee. In 17 games played from January through February 12, the Suns were undefeated. The Suns re-signed him on July 5, 2022.
Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder (2023–2024)
On November 1, 2023, Biyombo signed with the Memphis Grizzlies, but was waived on January 10, 2024. He quickly caught on with the Oklahoma City Thunder, signing on February 10, 2024. On March 6, 2024, he unexpectedly collapsed on the sideline during a game against the Portland Trail Blazers due to dehydration, but was cleared of any serious medical condition and continued his season.
San Antonio Spurs Era (2025–Present)
On February 9, 2025, Biyombo signed a 10-day contract with the San Antonio Spurs, followed by a second 10-day deal on February 21, 2025. On March 3, 2025, the Spurs signed him to a contract for the remainder of the season. In 2016, he founded the Bismack Biyombo Foundation, which during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 donated around $1 million worth of medical supplies to people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
