Charles Robert Coyle is an American professional ice hockey forward for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on March 2, 1992, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, Coyle has built a reputation as a reliable two-way center since entering the league in 2012. Charlie Coyle grew up in Weymouth, Massachusetts, where he developed his passion for hockey at a young age. On March 1, 2012, Coyle signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Wild and was assigned to the Saint John Sea Dogs to finish the 2011–12 QMJHL season.
Coyle made his NHL debut on February 4, 2013, against the Calgary Flames, skating 12:44 with two shots and a hit.
