Early Life and Background

D’Onta Foreman attended Texas City High School in Texas City, Texas, where he played running back and defensive end for the Stingarees football team. During his high school football career, he rushed for 4,382 yards with 61 touchdowns, including 2,102 yards and 31 touchdowns as a senior. His impressive performance earned him a commitment to the University of Texas at Austin to play college football under then-head coach Charlie Strong. Foreman was recognized as one of the top recruits in Texas, being ranked among the best running backs nationally.

Early Career (2017-2018)

D’Onta Foreman was selected by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft. He made his NFL debut during the season-opening loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and had a four-yard rush. In his second game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Foreman’s role expanded as he recorded 12 carries for 40 yards. He finished his rookie year with 78 carries for 327 yards and two touchdowns. However, his season ended prematurely due to a torn Achilles injury sustained during a game against the Arizona Cardinals.

After sitting out the 2019 NFL season, Foreman was claimed off waivers by the Indianapolis Colts but was waived shortly after due to injury.
