Early Life and Background

Fabian Moreau was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he was raised by his parents, Berg and Guerly Moreau. He has two sisters, Faby and Fabriana. Moreau attended Western High School in Davie, Florida, where he began his football journey. Initially playing as a running back and wide receiver, he earned a three-star recruit status and committed to UCLA over several other offers, including those from Boston College and Vanderbilt. At UCLA, Moreau switched positions from running back to cornerback, where he played from 2012 to 2016. He became a starter during his sophomore year in 2013, showcasing his talent on the field. Fabian Moreau was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the third round (81st overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year contract with the team, which included a signing bonus. Moreau made his professional debut in the 2017 season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. He quickly established himself as a reliable cornerback, recording his first career tackle in a game against the Los Angeles Rams. By the end of the 2019 season, he had accumulated 44 tackles and three interceptions, demonstrating his potential as a key defensive player.

Breakthrough (2021–Present)

After his time with the Washington Redskins, Moreau signed a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons in March 2021. He later joined the Houston Texans but was released before the start of the season. In September 2022, he was signed to the New York Giants practice squad and was elevated to the active roster shortly after. Moreau had a career-high 66 tackles during the 2022 season, solidifying his role as a valuable player in the Giants’ defense.
