Fraser Minten (born July 5, 2004) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is a centre for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL). Minten was selected 38th overall, in the second round of the 2022 NHL entry draft, by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has progressed through junior leagues and made his NHL debut in 2023.
Early Life and Background
Fraser Minten was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to parents Chantal and Trevor Minten. Growing up, he enjoyed reading and playing the piano, influenced by his grandparents, with whom he traveled during the summer months. Minten’s early exposure to sports and athletics set the foundation for his future in ice hockey.
Path to Hockey
Minten joined West Van Academy Prep, where he played alongside notable players, including Connor Bedard. He was drafted by the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in the fourth round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft. Minten made his NHL debut on October 11, 2023, in a thrilling 6–5 shootout victory over the Montreal Canadiens.

He played a total of 15 regular season games, notching two goals and four points before being traded to the Boston Bruins on March 7, 2025.
