Milner was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 44th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft but chose to attend college instead. Milner made his MLB debut on June 24, 2017, after being called up to the Philadelphia Phillies. He pitched one inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks, allowing one run.
