Path to Hockey
Rathbone’s early exposure to ice hockey began in Massachusetts, where he played for the Cape Cod Whalers in the Mass Midget Select League and later at Dexter Southfield School. Although he faced a setback due to a concussion, he was still considered a candidate for the ALL-USA Player of the Year.
