Early Life and Background

Jordan Westburg was born in New Braunfels, Texas, where he attended New Braunfels High School. During his high school years, he was an athlete in multiple sports, including baseball, basketball, and football. The Baltimore Orioles selected Jordan Westburg with the 30th overall pick in the 2020 Major League Baseball draft. He signed with the Orioles on June 28, 2020, for a $2.3 million bonus. Due to the pandemic, he did not play any minor league games in 2020. Westburg made his professional debut in 2021 with the Delmarva Shorebirds of the Low-A East. He quickly progressed through the Orioles’ minor league system, playing for the Aberdeen IronBirds and Bowie Baysox, and finished the season with impressive stats, slashing .285/.389/.479 with 15 home runs and 79 RBIs over 112 games.

Breakthrough (2023–Present)

Westburg returned to Bowie to start the 2022 season, where he continued to perform well, batting .247 with nine home runs and 32 RBIs over 47 games before being promoted to the Norfolk Tides. In 2023, he began the season with Norfolk, hitting .295 with 18 home runs and 54 RBIs in 67 games. On June 26, 2023, he was promoted to the major leagues for the first time.
