Madison Siegrist Bio
Madison Siegrist (born May 22, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Wings of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and for the Laces of Unrivaled. She played college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats of the Big East Conference and is the Big East’s all-time leading scorer in women’s basketball. She was selected 3rd overall in the 2023 WNBA draft by the Wings.
Early Life and Background
Madison Siegrist was born in Poughkeepsie, New York. She played basketball for Our Lady of Lourdes High School, where she made a significant impact on the court. As a junior, Siegrist was named the Poughkeepsie Journal Player of the Year after averaging 21 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists per game, leading her team to the Section 1 Class AA semifinals. In her senior season, she excelled further, averaging 32.7 points and 13.1 rebounds per game, and repeated as the Poughkeepsie Journal Player of the Year. Following her high school career, Siegrist committed to playing college basketball for Villanova University.

Siegrist redshirted her first season at Villanova due to a broken ankle. However, she quickly made her mark upon returning. On December 21, 2019, she posted an impressive 41 points and 10 rebounds in a victory over La Salle, breaking the program’s freshman single-game scoring record. During her freshman year, she averaged 18.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per game, earning first-team All-Big East and Freshman of the Year honors.
