Mats André Zuccarello Aasen, born on 1 September 1987 in Oslo, Norway, is a Norwegian professional ice hockey winger who currently plays for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). Standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 179 pounds, he is widely regarded as one of the best Norwegian players ever to compete in the NHL and is one of only nine Norwegians to have reached the league. He is of Italian descent from his mother’s side and is the older brother of Fabian Zuccarello, who plays in the Norwegian First Division.
