Kendall Brown was born on May 11, 2003, in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. He grew up in a family with a strong basketball background; his father, Courtney Sr., played professional basketball in various countries and was a member of the Harlem Globetrotters. Brown attended East Ridge High School in Woodbury, Minnesota, where he began to showcase his talent on the basketball court. As a sophomore, he averaged 17.6 points per game and led his team to its first state tournament appearance. After his sophomore year, he transferred to Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kansas, where he continued to develop his skills and compete at a high level.

Throughout the season, he earned Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors twice and averaged 9.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. His strong performance led to his selection for the Big 12 All-Freshman Team at the end of the season. After just one year at Baylor, Brown declared for the 2022 NBA Draft, forgoing his remaining college eligibility.

Breakthrough (2022-Present)

In the 2022 NBA Draft, Kendall Brown was selected with the 48th overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves, his hometown team.
